I used this method many times to remove AntiVirus 2009 at work and will continue to do so since it works 100% of the time.

If you cannot remove AntiVirus 2009 by using the normal Windows login (which happened to me a few times) then you have to boot into Safe Mode with Networking.

CLICK on the ClearTechInfo LINK at the TOP-RIGHT. It will take you to the article associated with this video. There it will give you detailed instructions about how to boot into Safe Mode with Networking.

Be sure to press, Any Key on your keyboard when the screen prompt asks you to. Be patient and follow the on-screen instructions from there *

If you are able to get into the BIOS be sure to go through the BIOS menu it takes you to and search for the, Boot or Startup options (same thing, different words). Make sure that your CD/DVD-rom is the first item on the list. After this is setup, Save and Exit. Insert your recovery CD/DVD or full version of Windows XP or Vista, whichever one you have. Then restart your computer… CONT—>

Please Note: Be careful anytime you flash any motherboard bios and follow all manufacturer instructions precisely. Failing to follow instructions can kill your bios and you will need to purchase a new motherboard… CONT—>

When you 1st power on your computer look at the screen and see what F key you need to press in order to get into the bios. Press tap that key repeatedly until you get in there. It is usually the, F1, F2 or Delete key. But I have seen some computers that require you to hit another key. If you cannot get into this and it is that bad you need to reflash your bios. You need to look up how to do it in your manual, or the manufacturers website… CONT–>

I’ve attempted to remove Malware before with no success when I normally logged into Windows. Then I logged in via, “Safe Mode with Networking” and it solved that issue and I was able to remove the Malware.

Try to log in via, “Safe Mode with Networking”. Click on the ClearTechInfo link above, on the Top-Right.
